Pay a visit to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall in South Iceland, IT IS the world’s coolest waterfall!

This gigantic creation of nature lets you do the following activities:

- Hike through the back of the falls and view them from the inside out. Imagine, You can see the Northern Lights from inside the waterfall! Damn!

- Take in the pretty postcard view of the sunset into the water again from inside the waterfall.

The king of waterfalls is located between Selfoss and Skogafoss in South Iceland and it drops a whopping 200 feet from rocks above into an absolutely alluring pool. The pool beneath is so serene that you would surely want to take a dive in it. Be careful of the icy coldness though!

Also, due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is always visible on sunny days behind the waterfall. How cool is that!

An urban legend - According to a legend, the first ever Viking settler in the area -Thrasi Thorolfsson, buried a treasure chest in a cave behind this waterfall. The legend also says that the locals found the chest some years later, but they were only able to grasp the ring on the side of the chest before it disappeared again!
