Tashkent has typical Mediterranean or Continental climate. Long, hot summers and short, cold winters are characteristic of this region. Summer stretches on from May to Semtember and temperatures average around 32°C, with long dry spells. Winter, from December to February, sees temperatures around 6°C, with periods of light rain.
April-May and September-October are the best times to visit Tashkent.
