We’ve all played with LEGO bricks as kids, we built military headquarters and we built hospitals, farm houses and pirate ships. Hey, some of us still play with our little coloured bricks, the clay of the modern world! Then there was LEGOLAND, a chain of LEGO-themed theme parks. The parks’ rides are all Lego themed; many are made to appear as if they are built out of Lego bricks.

And now, imagine a hotel made of LEGO bricks! Well, almost! LEGO fans have a treat in store if they are planning a trip to LEGOLAND in Carlsbad, California next year. You’ll soon be able to stay in the official LEGOLAND Hotel which will open on April 5, 2013.

Beyond the Imagination !

The three-story, 250-room Hotel immerses guests in the creative world of LEGO as it is designed to bring children’s imaginations to life. There are approximately 3,422 LEGO models in the entire Hotel created out of more than three million LEGO bricks. Model Builders have just installed the iconic LEGO® dragon model which will breathe smoke as guests enter. Construction crews are working rain or shine getting the hotel ready for its early opening and have crowned the clock tower at the entrance.

Guests can choose from a Pirate, Kingdom or Adventure themed room. A LEGO knight, pirate and adventurer have also been unveiled representing the three themed room choices. Guests can also choose between themed or premium themed rooms – premium themed rooms have additional LEGO models and décor such as themed wall paper.

As an added bonus, each room will have a separate living space for adults and kids with fun activities for all. You get a queen-size bed for grown-ups, and a separate area for up to three little ones, a bunk bed, pull-out trundle bed and their own TV. There are LEGO animals and plant life scattered around the rooms and hotel as well. The hotel will feature over 3400 LEGO models throughout the premises, built from over 3 million bricks in total. It’s too bad that the entire hotel isn’t made from LEGO bricks!

When you stay there you also get your family exclusive early admission to LEGOLAND.
