Tourists will soon get a chance to sail through the river Ganga and get a glimpse of remote historic and scenic spots in the city of West Bengal. A heritage cruise is in talks with the West Bengal tourism for connecting Kolkata to Patna via Ganga.
Major features of this royal boat tour:
- The vessel will be the luxury-liner M V Rajmahal.
- The luxury vessel will kick-off the tour from Millennium Park jetty in Kolkata.
- It will touch upon Bengal’s major heritage spots on its way to Patna.
- Main stops: Barrackpore, Chandernagore, Kalna, Nabadwip, Mayapur, Plassey, Murshidabad, and Farakka and up to Bhagalpur, Monghyr and Patna.

- The ship has 22 cabins - 14 spacious double cabins on the upper deck and four double cabins on the main deck, together with four single cabins.
