This sounds like Charlie setting up his chocolate factory! Jackie Chan is gearing up to further delight us all. The Chinese actor has announced that soon he’d be opening a grand theme park in Beijing, China.

Titled “JC World”, the park will showcase, in Chan’s words, “all my stuff” (Er…we really don’t want to read more into it; it’s a park for the kids). It primarily includes the actor’s collection of ancient Chinese sandalwood houses, three of which he had donated to a university in Singapore, sparking much criticism in China.

The Park:

JC World will have five themed sections, each of which will feature different cultural exhibits in the form of the many items collected by Jackie Chan over the years. Chan has, they say, a huge collection of jewellery and furniture, the sandalwood houses being the most spectacular and cherished item.

Chan said:

“I wanted to buy everything when I was young, but now I want to donate whatever I have. […] One person’s happiness can’t compare to the joy of all, only culture lasts forever.”

Free entry: Entry into the park will be free, but some of the attractions will be ticketed to afford maintenance of the park.

And Museum in Shanghai

Jackie seems to be riding strong in China this year. Later this year, Shanghai will see the world’s first Jackie Chan museum due to open within the Changfeng Ecological Business District. The museum will be a treat for fans of the Kung-fu star. Chronicling his entire film career, the museum will display props and paraphernalia from his movies – the costumes, properties etc., the highlight being Chan’s own movie studio.

This year it’s definitely gonna be rush hour for Jackie Chan fans in China.

We wonder what it’d be like if our Bollywood stars too opened theme parks. A Ghajini roller coaster, a Mogambo haunted house, a DDLJ toy train… Which Bollywood star/movie would you want to see in a themed park? Let us know in the comments below.
