Goa is all set to receive a further boost as regards the tourism industry, with the government pushing through several projects, some of which have been in the pipeline for years.

Hop-on-hop-off tourist buses will be introduced to facilitate easier commuting between the beaches of the northern coastal belt. Till now, this has only been possible by hiring buses or taxis.

Ten more jetties will be constructed to boost cruise-tourism and take visitors to explore the blooming interiors of Goa, thereby promoting green tourism. Heli-rides for tourists will offer a grand view of the mountains and valleys of the Western Ghat range in the hinterland here.

Two more golf courses have been proposed, along with more open-air entertainment zones at Baga and Benaulim to host popular events and concerts like the Sunburn festival and shopping festivals. Big projects like an oceanarium at Baga, a convention centre at a five-star hotel in Kesarval and a viewing tower at Calangute are underway.

The infrastructure of Goan beaches is being overhauled with the introduction of parking lots, changing rooms and toilets.

About - I pick lemons and make stories out of them. I'll write my way into your life, sooner or later.

If you’re into partying, North Goa’s beaches (Baga, Anjuna, Calangute) would be best for you! If you want a quiet, lazy holiday head for South Goa (Palolem beach). Let us know if you need any help in finding you a great holiday!
