Temperatures start to climb in March and April, unbelievably sticky and uncomfortable. It peaks just before the monsoon breaks at the end of May. July-September is marked by massive humidity and persistent high temperatures. Winter can get icily cold in the hills.
From October to February, the rains slow down to a trickle and the temperatres become bearable. This is the best season to visit this region. November and December are best for the national parks in the plains. To enjoy the best of the mountain views, go in October-November, before they are gripped by the icy fingers of winter.
