Madhya Pradesh, without the moderating effect of the sea has extremes of climate. Summers are hot and humid with a maximum temperature of 41 degrees centigrade and a minimum of 24 degrees centigrade. Winters on the other hand are pleasant with temperatures ranging between 24 degrees centigrade and 11 degrees centigrade. The monsoons start coming in by the end of June or beginning of July, and stretch on to mid-October, during which time the park remains closed.
The best time to visit the Park is between October and February.
