Mashobra is first point on the Shimla - Mandi route at 15 kms from Shimla, offering amazing valley views. From Shimla, you can avail of a taxi or a hired car to cover the 45 minutes distance. Mashobra Resort is the best option at Mashobra and is good for corporates, a few kilometers down the road.
Naldehra is another holiday paradise 10 kms down the road, known for it's Golf course. To get an access to Naldehra you can avail of a taxi or a hired car from Shimla. Bus Service is not frequent.
10 kms up the road from Shimla is Kufri. At Kufri it snows the maximum and stays on till March and guests from Shimla come here for skiing in winter.
Fagu is at a distance of 25 km from Shimla and 6 km away from Kufri. Fagu in Shimla is a vantage point offering a panoramic view of ranges and valleys. The HPTDC (Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation) conducts daily tours from New Delhi. The Shimla-Kufri-Fagu-Chini Bungalow-Naldhera-Mashobra tour sets in at 10.30 am and ends at 5.30 pm (Rs.130- approx). All tours start from the Rivoli- Connaught Place Bus Stand at 10 am everyday. But the best way to visit Fagu is to start your journey from Shimla to avoid a long journey
