Bannerghatta National Park

The Bannerghatta National Park is situated 22 km away from the city. A variety of fauna in the picturesque surroundings of the park can be seen. It is a reserve of lions, Indian tigers and many other mammals. The lion’s safari, crocodile enclosure are among the major attractions in the park. The country’s first butterfly park was set up in the Bannerghatta National Park. The butterfly park is spread over 7.5 acres of land and constitutes a butterfly conservatory, museum and an audio-visual room. The living environment has been so designed that it supports 20 species of butterflies.

Savanadurga

Situated around 60km from Bangalore, Savandurga welcomes you with its gigantic hills, dense vegetation and beautiful landscapes. You can go on a trek or a biking-hiking trail once you are here. In some places, the rock slants upwards at an angle of 70 degrees, and the ascent is difficult. On top, there's a stone Nandi inside a Mantap, and it is well worth to make this ardous climb as the spectacle from the top is breathtaking.

Nandi Hills

This popular weekend getaway is just 60km from Bangalore. It is a serene view that greets your gaze, and you wonder if Tipu Sultan himself stood here and looked at his kingdon with the same imperiousness. Just like at the base of the hills, at the top too is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The sport of paragliding is popular here, and go for it it if you haven't attempted it previously.

Pyramid Valley

The world’s largest Meditational Pyramid is just 35 kilometers from Bangalore city. Commonly described as a slice of heaven on earth, this slate grey Maitreya Buddha Pyramid sits nestled amidst rocky hills and a lush green valley. About 5000 people can meditate at a time inside its vast interiors.
