It is also one of the most endangered creatures in the world, with fewer than 1500 remaining in India. In 1972, the Government of India established ‘Project Tiger’, a conservation project with the intention of saving the species. The tiger population has only decreased since then and continues to do so every day, for a host of shameful reasons. Of the Project Tiger reserves, Pench National parkis one of the best in the country. If you’re looking for a nice outdoorsy holiday rubbing shoulders with some of nature’s finest, a trip to Pench has to be on your cards.
