Diu Tourism & Travel Guide - Know Before you Go!

Diu Overview

A former Portuguese colony, Diu is a tiny, breezy island, off the southern tip of Saurashtra, that retains much of its colonial charm. Portuguese churches and fort, sandy beaches swept with winds blowing in from the Arabian Sea, are the two main attractions for travellers to the city. Walk the sleepy streets of the town, lined with colonial buildings and then explore the fort, with its lighthouse, canons and moat, which offers great vantage points to watch over the ocean.

Local Language

Gujarati and Hindi are the two most common language spoken here.
