Germany Overview

The name Germany brings a montage of many figures and events to the mind. The 17 day festival celebrates beer, and more than 6 million people turn up every year to be a part of the revelry. The most popular getaways during the warmer months are the islands, which are dotted with health resorts. One could simply bird watch on the sun baked shores; or go sailing and surfing. The “Strandkorbs” or beach baskets are covered special seats, which give one a place to quietly enjoy the tranquil sea. The Alps in the south of Germany provide ample opportunities for skiing and hiking. Germany is a modern country, super-imposed with rich cultural heritage.
