Probably not the most popular city in Thailand, you won’t find the famed neon lights of Bangkok and Pattaya in this town. Krabi tourism is popular for its beautiful beaches and laid back tropical charm. If you think it’s a boring resort and are wondering what to do in Krabi island, you couldn’t be more wrong. It’s a delight for honeymooners and families alike. We’ve compiled a list of things to do in Krabi that you simply cannot miss.

Must do Things in Krabi

Island Hopping

An estimated 200 islands dot the Krabi coastline – white sandy beaches, coral reefs and intricate cave systems. Rent a local boat and cast away to one of many island paradises. Make sure to check which islands are the best, some of them are inaccessible in bad weather. It’s probably best to take a local guide along if it’s your first time.

Snorkeling & Sea Canoeing

Get to one of the islands for a day of amazing undersea exploration. Or get on a canoe and go explore the coves, caves and smaller islets in and around the Krabi coastline.

Take a dip in the Hot Springs

Located about 70 kms outside of Krabi town, under a lush canopy of tropical rainforest, this is the perfect setting for a soak in the mineral enriched water from the hot springs. Jacuzzi type baths are available on a sharing basis. After a refreshing dip, there are a couple of nice nature treks to be taken around the area.

Visit the Phi Phi Islands

They crop up now and then on lists of the most beautiful places on earth, Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh are postcard perfect islands with their white sands and turquoise waters. This is indeed the ultimate tropical getaway.

Rock Climbing

You don’t have to be a professional, you just need the adrenaline. The impossibly angular limestone karsts of Krabi offer a vast selection of places & things to do for both amateurs and professionals. Ao Nang beach and Railay beach boast some of the best rock climbing spots in the world.

Scuba Diving

For those who want to dive a little deeper than snorkeling, the reefs around Krabi are perfect to explore the fascinating underwater ecosystems of the Andaman Sea. There are many dive centers offering a range of options from introductory dive classes to day trips and liveaboards.

Rejuvenate

Krabi is a great place to unwind and relax with numerous spas and wellness centers dotting the spaces around town. Let your body relax under experienced hands amidst the beautiful scenes of sand and sea. It has become crowded and touristy in recent time, but Krabi’s activities will charm you evemtually.
